Cabinet is non-compliant because the doors collide with each other

All Double Door Cabinets

350L  - 250L – 160L – 100L

Do Not overload the cabinet where the product inside the cabinet can interfere with the left-hand door to stop it closing completely.

The Right Hand door will stay open and wait for the left-hand door to be closed completely before it will automatically close .

DO NOT force the Right Hand Door to close when the Left Hand has not closed completely, check to see if there is something large like a drum or too many products on any shelf preventing the Left-Hand door from closing, this will damage the sequential door closing mechanism which is screwed to the inside top of the cabinet.

The result will be that both doors when released from open will connect with each other and prevent them from shutting automatically.  The cabinet then becomes non-compliant, your certifier will fail the compliance.

This is Damage by you or your staff, is not a warranty claim.

A new mechanism can be bought for $600 + gst plus courier. Contact us to order.

The right hand door or the single door of any cabinet shuts but does not engage the catches
Use penetrating oil such as CRC to lubricate the 3 catches located top, side and bottom.

The maintenance guide attached to the inside of the door of your cabinet explains this process.

The shelves are showing signs of rust
They will not rust on their own — it is your products inside that are the cause – which can be completely controlled. If you can smell fumes —you have had a spillage.

This maybe because you have had a spillage of acid inside the cabinet which has not been cleaned up, Spilt residue may be sitting in the bund or in a Polypropylene spill tray emitting fumes.

Or there could have been a lid left off a Container or Winchester inside the cabinet emitting fumes. There will be an acid smell when the doors are first opened.

Remove all products and shelves, wash the complete cabinet inside and out with hot soapy water. Spray CRC onto the surfaces and rub dry with a soft cloth.  Ensure the CRC is compatible with the substances you are storing.  Check your Safety Data Sheets to confirm.

Cleaning of your Cabinet,  inside and out every six months or whenever a spillage is evident will ensure the longevity of your cabinet.

The cabinet rocks when the doors are opened
Adjust the feet in the base of your cabinet until the cabinet is solid.

Fit the Stainless Steel Location Brackets (found in the goodie bag at the bottom of your cabinet ) to the top of the cabinet and the wall behind, screw through the outer skin only of your double skinned cabinet. Screws that are too long and screw right through into the inner skin could then transfer that heat from a fire inside the building into the inside of the cabinet where flammable liquids could be ignited.

Where do I fit the static electrical cable? (found in the goodie bag in the bottom of your cabinet)
On the right hand side of your cabinet about 300mm up from the bottom you will find a screw.

Screw one end of the cable using this screw to clamp it to the wall.

Take the alligator clip and clip it onto any steel item that is connected to the ground, like a steel column or bolt in the concrete.

This cable is to retard static electricity which may or may not be present.  Contact your Electrician if you are unsure.
